Ever longed to visit the Palace of Versailles? Or maybe the Museum Kampa or the Museum of Modern Art? Now you can without leaving your desk. Google has launched the ‘Art Project’ with some of the most interesting art museums in the world and you can explore them using Google’s street view technology.
We're enjoying feeling the new cultural vibe emanating from Google – a pleasant addition to their usual positioning. Of course the ‘Art Project’ is powered by their technical wizardry but it’s still nice to see something a little different originate from their cauldron.
We think the Art Project is a great idea – amazing - but it’s a shame they didn’t give further thought to usability. Whilst I’m in awe of the site I am already frustrated using it. That said I think I’ll take a quick trip to Berlin now...
