The Pull team comprising Chris Bullick, Paul Stratford and honorary member (and fund-raiser in chief) Toby Elliot raised £500 between them for the NSPCC at the Big Bike Ride in Horsham last weekend.
Chris was clearly guilty of sandbagging his own target of 6 hours by coming in at 4 hours and six minutes: “I feel a little ashamed of my target. My excuse is that I forgot that this was W. Sussex and not actually in the mountains. . .” (Oh that old ‘where were the mountains?’ excuse. . .)
Mind you he was fairly chuffed to get asked at the finish line: “Did you do the 25k or 50k”? and to be told when he said “The 75k” – “No you can’t be – there’s no-one back from that yet. . .”
