Google is beta testing a video extension to PPC ads in the US. The videos play automatically beneath each standard ad – if a user clicks on the video they will be taken through to a branded website.
Advertisers will be charged per ten seconds of video at the same maximum CPC (cost per click) as the keywords on which they’re bidding.
No plans to see this in the UK yet unfortunately but adds to the increasing signals to incorporate video in to your marketing plan!
