We need a driven, ambitious, organised, highly skilled communicator with strong self-motivation to join our design team.

Reporting to the Creative Director you will be required to produce design and creative work for a variety of B2C and B2B projects, both on and off-line. You will have a genuine passion for brand and design with a drive to explore and discover new ideas and techniques.

As a designer you will be responsible for working within the creative team to develop initial design concepts through to final artwork, whilst also supporting the digital team when required. You will need a good eye for layout and typography, the ability to develop concepts and visuals as well as handling manipulation of images, and accuracy when creating artwork. Adherence to deadlines, design briefs and brand guidelines is also essential.

You will need to be able to proactively produce design work to agreed timescales, budgets and expected standards whilst reporting on project progress to the Creative Director and Account Management team on a regular basis.

We are a hands-on design and digital agency and all parts of the business work closely together, therefore your personality is as important as your creativity! You'll need to be professional, assertive and extremely well organised with the ability to prioritise, delegate and multi-task under pressure. An appreciation of humour and a sense of perspective would be great, too!

Desired Skills and Experience

• Ability to manage creative delivery to expected standards, within specified budgets and timescales
• A drive for quality, attention to detail and strong typographical skills are essential
• Knowledge and experience of design for Digital and Print materials
• Creative flair and appreciation of creative concepts and thought processes
• Commercial awareness
• Ability to liaise with suppliers to achieve desired outcome
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to take on other tasks within a changing environment

Must haves:

• Minimum two year’s experience
• A demonstrable track record in the design industry.
• A portfolio of brand and design work
• Excellent capability in Adobe CC
• Efficient, organised and skilled in prioritising and time management

Nice to haves:

• Understanding of the digital arena and a strong understanding of the general principals of marketing.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

• Continual professional development to keep up to date with new software developments, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations.
• Take responsibility for your workspace and IT equipment and fill-out timesheets.
• Work with other design/web specialists including web developers and graphic designers.
• Liaise with outside agencies.
• Checking own work and only handing over checked work.
• Research current design trends.


This is a full-time role subject only to normal three-month probation period. Salary will be competitive and dependant on relevant experience. Pull provide generous benefits with health care and pension after 6 months of employment.

About Pull

Most new agencies are born from a small theft. Someone leaves a bigger agency and takes some clients with them.

Pull was built from scratch, driven by a passion for rigorous, effective marketing and the opportunities presented by the digital revolution.

From our previous experience of being the client, we knew that the big agencies had the people, knowledge, experience and approaches to build their client’s brands, but they were unwieldy and un-responsive to deal with.

By contrast, smaller agencies were easier to do business with and more responsive, but tended to be either strongly tech or design-orientated, and have little experience of brand-building.

Pull has grown from a two-person, to a thirty-person agency, and is characterised by thorough knowledge of digital technologies and purposeful design. But we see both as a means to an end – cost-effective brand building for our clients.


2008: Pull Founded by Chris Bullick & Manoj Shah as Digital Marketing consultancy.

2009: Pull acquired the UP Agency. Dean Corney & Paul Stratford appointed as directors.

2011: Pull moves into Godalming, completes first complete new brand development and digital launch for Chaucer Direct motor insurance.

2012: First ‘six figure’ commissions for digital development projects for ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers) and 1st Central Insurance.

2013: Pull acquires the assets of and merges with Bite CP, moves into Bite CP offices in Shalford. Alex Blomfield & Darren Cornwall appointed directors. New clients acquired via Bite CP include: Asda, EY, John Lewis and Zoggs

2014: Turnover breaks £1m mark. Win B2B Marketing Award for new client Kompan’s Digital Pop-up brochure and Smart Playground concept. Win new client Schwarzkopf.
