Role
We need a driven, ambitious manager with outstanding communication skills to head up our expanding digital marketing team.

Pull provides both digital and off-line marketing for blue-chip as well as SME B2C & B2B clients.

The candidate should have hands-on experience within the digital marketing arena with a recent demonstrable competence in setting up and managing successful paid search display advertising, video and social media campaigns. In addition, management experience is essential, and the candidate should currently be responsible for a team of digital specialists.

The candidate will have highly developed written and verbal communication skills, and be comfortable presenting and discussing work with clients at CEO level.

The candidate will take a front-line role in promoting Pull’s digital marketing work both with clients and within the business.  They will be seen by Pull’s clients as an important specialist business advisor, picking up on the leads provided by our sales/accounts team and proposing new initiatives and campaigns with them.

Pull has achieved high levels of growth, and to continue this, we require someone capable of seeing their department as a business in its own right, and expanding and championing their department, playing a key role in winning new digital marketing clients and digital marketing work within existing clients.

To do this, they will need to be able to grasp the ‘big picture’ of client’s business process and profit generation.  They will also be required to assist in tracking ROI of client projects, developing case studies and also working as a member of wider Pull teams.

Must haves:
  • Recent personal experience of setting up managing and optimising high ROI paid search campaigns.
  • Direct or indirect responsibility for setting up online display campaigns.
  • Direct or indirect responsibility for setting up video-based display campaigns.
  • Extensive knowledge of key social media platforms and direct or indirect responsibility for setting up and managing successful social media-based advertising and campaigns.
  • Highly analytical and numerate.
  • Excellent use of office technologies – creative and highly communicative in the use of e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel etc.
  • Highly knowledgeable and experienced in using Google Analytics with a demonstrable track-record of using GA to develop client insights and customised reports.
  • Be versed in the principals of marketing practice and understand the basics of ‘traditional’ marketing – brand positioning and brand-building, market segmentation etc.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, and a track-record of building and motivating a team.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Running the digital marketing department.
  • Leading, managing and motivating the digital marketing team.
  • Building the agency’s digital marketing business and hitting department revenue targets.
  • Representing the digital marketing department on the Pull management team.
  • Influencing and helping shape agency strategy by participating in the management strategy formulation and business planning process.
  • Keeping the agency up to date with references to developments in the digital marketing environment.
  • Helping position the agency at the leading edge of digital design and marketing.
  • Developing a position of influence for themselves and the agency by posting influential blogs, and participating in online debate and digital marketing forums.
  • Maintaining the right mix of skills and staff within the department, recruiting new talent when necessary.
Salary/terms:
 
This is a full-time role subject only to normal three-month probation period.  Salary will be competitive and dependant on relevant experience. Pull provide generous benefits with health care and pension after 6 months of employment.
