Gocycle is a sophisticated and ingenious electric bicycle loved and ridden by Cristiano Ronaldo, Cara Delavigne, Eddie Jordan and Chris Evans.

Gocycle’s inventor and designer ex McLaren cars design engineer Richard Thorpe knew he had a winner, but was uneasy about Gocycle’s ‘Performance Commuting’ positioning, so he came to Pull.

After researching the emerging ebike marketplace Pull proposed re-positioning Gocycle from its existing place in the market to one as a highly desirable item of automotive engineering excellence.

So Pull placed Gocycle in the market as a luxury product.  Lifestyle imagery was replaced with hero shots of the product, and short and powerful messages highlighting the bike’s extraordinary technical features replaced dense copy about the practicalities of commuting on a Gocycle.

The new positioning and brochure delighted Gocycle’s sales channels and helped the company to reach beyond traditional cycle and ebike retailers to gain distribution in high-end car showrooms and yacht chandlers (Gocycle is proving very popular with luxury yacht/motor-yacht owners keen to buy a prestigious land-side ride!).

Gocycle Social Media


Pull is supporting Gocycle with their Social Media presence. Through an integrated email and Facebook campaign, we successfully launched Gocycle’s Facebook page. Taking them from 0 followers to over 1K in just one day.

Social Media has since then become a hub for Gocycle resellers and fans to celebrate and promote the Gocycle brand together. We have supported and helped increase Gocycle’s presence across all the main Social Media platforms through campaigns and by posting content that the Gocycle target audience will love. Gocycle has seen a huge benefit from Social Media activity. They get a regular stream of traffic from Social Media now. The trust in the Gocycle brand has also improved tenfold. As has the relationship between Gocycle and their resellers. We have created a place for resellers to promote their own brand through the Gocycle brand. Social Media has also allowed them to open communication networks with Gocycle.

Gocycle has received sales enquiries from customers and potential resellers through Social Media as well, potentially opening up new doors for their sales team.

Pull are now planning on building on the organic Social Media work with a remarketing campaign and Social Media Advertising.
